(Pageantry Corps)
Modern pageantry is a combination of the use of flags, sabers, mock rifles, and other equipment, as well as dance and other interpretive movement.
Color Guard performs with the Marching Band during the Fall season, and compete in the SCSBOA circuit. The Color Guard may also perform with the band or independently in local parades.
Winter Guard is the sport of indoor color guard, they perform independently during the Winter-Spring season. The El Camino HS Golden Pride's Winter Guard competes in the WGASC circuit, in the Scholastic AA (SAA) class.
The Visual Interpretation: The color guard serves as the visual interpretation of the music, translating auditory themes into a vibrant display of motion and color.
The Emotional Heartbeat: Often referred to as the emotional heartbeat of the show, the guard uses choreographed dance and equipment to convey the narrative and mood of the performance.
Artistry in Motion: Blending athleticism with artistry, the guard enhances the marching band’s production through the synchronized manipulation of flags, rifles, and sabers.
A Theatrical Layer: They provide a theatrical layer to the field, using custom silks and props to create a panoramic scenery that frames the musical performance.
Fair Share donations or uniform payments can be made by cash, check, or CC.
Cash and Checks can be dropped off in the band room office, checks payable to El Camino HS Band Boosters.

All performers that need a bra must wear one that matches their skin tone, and ideally will cross in the back to avoid seeing straps.
Underwear should be seamless. Male performers should also invest in a dance belt.
The links below take you to the websites to purchase shoes and tights.
Shoes in Camel Color (online option)
You can also try the dance supply store, Dancin' Sole Boutique for a local option. Delia is the owner and great to work with. Just make sure you get the correct style, color, brand and quality.
